General description
The Nooit Volmaakt is a more than 120-year-old skûtsje, which was made sailable again in the early 1970s and converted into a family boat. Over ten years ago, the underwater hull and deck were sandblasted. In recent years, the plane has been largely doubled (just not under the engine room) and the skeg renewed.
A new mast of bonded Oregon was installed five years ago. The end of the boom has been renewed. Likewise, the daggerboards have been refurbished. The mainsail is aged but well maintained.
The paneling is simple and suits the character of an ex-freight boat. The u-shaped bench and a kerosene lamp above the table create a cozy atmosphere.
Because the cabin door is on the side, there is room for a (also) U-shaped galley. The window to the cockpit can be removed, allowing the cook to keep in touch with the crew in the cockpit when the weather is nice.
Beyond the cabin is a sleeping area with a double bed which can be closed with a door. In the forecastle are two bunks and at the very front a storage area.
Because the boat stays just under 15 meters, no license is required.
