In the past 2 years this Privateer has undergone a thorough refit whereby it is particularly special that the ship is now electrically powered by a system from Greenmarine. Although this ship with her strong Perkins diesel was already really fantastic to sail, this adaptation has taken the sailing pleasure to an even higher level. The peace and quiet, yet also the power with which the drive package now propels the vessel are a relief and a pleasure to sail.
Greenmarine's system includes, a Greenmarine 35 KW electric motor, battery pack 48V Lithium ( 8 batteries) and a generator as a range extender of 5KVA.
In addition to the propulsion system, a series of improvements were made during the refit;
The entire electrics on board have been modernized, everything can be operated with touch keys and a touch screen. Of course, with the modern engine controls and joystick for the bow and stern thruster also came a completely new dashboard with all the Simrad equipment you could want.
The windows were replaced in 2023 with Topwindows, plastic window frames with thermopane glazing.
Bow and stern thruster renewed in 2024, 2 x 76 KGF by Vetus. 4 new batteries. Proportional with joystick control.
Underwater hull blasted and epoxy coated in 2024. Of course also new antifouling and anodes.
